This 18-carbon alkane is a diamonoid: if its carbon framework is extended repeatedly the structure is that of diamond. Notice that the tetrahedral pattern matches the structure of ice.  If you look carefully you can find 3 chair- and 6 boat-forms of cyclohexane (Chapter 5).
